Christmas Pictures

I decided to use my new camera to take my boys Christmas pictures this year. Gabriel's came out great, and Christian's....not so much lol. It's not easy at all taking pictures of a 2.5 year old toddler tornado! But I got one good one of him by the tree, with his Saints jersey on of course because that's the only way he would pose for me. Enjoy!

Shameless Plug

I am starting my own mini-business! I have taken up knitting again, after many years, and am now starting to sell some of my creations! Mainly the Baby Cocoon and Hat set, which have gotten lots of interest after giving a set at a baby shower. So I wanted to share with you all! I'm working on a page at Etsy to sell them on, and I have Paypal all set up for transactions with my customers. It is very exciting, and I'm so happy to be bringing in some extra money for my family! Now to come up with a catchy name...

Here's one of the sets I'm about to ship off to someone. The cocoon is like a really long sock (kinda) that keeps baby warm and cozy, but not quite as tight as a swaddle would be.

Pre-Halloween

This past weekend we went to a Halloween festival at Danny's shipyard for the kids. Christian was a fireman and Gabriel a spider. Gabe's costume didn't stay on long, but he was cute anyway. Christian looked a bit weary when we entered the tent. There was scary music playing, and people dressed in haunted house garb. About 3 minutes later the tears started. Poor thing was so scared! We ran through it to get outside by the bounce houses. He chippered up then, and had a good time. On Halloween we are going to my brother's party, and hopefully there will be no monsters there!

New Milestones

Gabriel is growing up so fast, it seems he is doing something new everyday! He will be 7 months old this week, though his adjusted age is 6 months, but we aren't really going by that anymore. He rolls over front to back and back to front, sits up on his own for long periods, can put his binkie as well as puffs in his mouth easily, eats all Stage 2 baby foods, and is starting on mashed "adult" food such as banana, biter biscuits, stuff like that. He's an awesome baby! His eyes are still bright blue, and we are thinking they will stay that way. Christian was a dark brown eyed boy at about 8 weeks old. And that boy is getting so big too! He has used the potty quite a few times now, only peepee, but hey it's a start! His conversations skills are really getting good too! And a few pics of the boys...

A Day at the Park

With all the bad weather we've been having lately, plus the hurricane threats, we haven't gotten out much in the past month. Poor Christian has been going stir crazy, so we took the boys to the park! There was alot of debris from Gustav, but the park was in good shape and the slides were intact. Christian is getting so good at climbing by himself, and he will even go down the slides without me standing at the end to catch him! Such a brave little boy.

I got some great shots of the park, and Christian loved all the cool bridges. Gabe just sat in the stroller (or the Double-Wide as I call it lol) drinking a bottle of breastmilk.

And for a final note, I have mastitis AGAIN for the THIRD time! How is this possible?

New Camera!

I have finally gotten sick of my stupid little camera that takes horrible pictures, and am now using a much better, high quality camera. I am so excited! The difference in my pictures is amazing, and I'm having so much fun taking pictures of my boys. I am also using my graphic software again, from when I was studying graphic design in school before Katrina. So I guess you could say I have a new hobby! A few examples of my new camera's work:

Amazing Mommy Website

I came across this website www.mom4life.com last week and it has become one of my favorite sites around. Mom4Life carries products made for moms by moms, so purchasing anything here can help SAHM's! As a SAHM myself, I will do anything to help out a fellow SAHM. I purchased the Razberry Teether for Gabriel, and also a teething necklace that is so beautiful for me to wear, but is made of silicone so Gabriel can chew on it! Check it out girls, they also have FREE SHIPPING on any and every product shipped in the USA!
